Hand-turned by Mike Coon from spalted African tamarind, this one-of-a-kind bowl is defined by the extraordinary markings created as fungi naturally colonize and begin to decay the wood. The controlled spalting process leaves behind dramatic dark lines, sweeping patterns, and beautiful variations in tone—nature creating the design before the wood ever reaches the lathe.

Measuring 5½" wide × 3" high, this sculptural bowl showcases a grain pattern that can never be duplicated, making each piece truly singular.
