About the Work
Sculpted from beautifully figured Box Elder Burl, this one-of-a-kind hollowform showcases swirling natural grain accented by a rich rosewood insert and striking blue colored-epoxy fills that trace the wood’s natural voids and character.
Remarkably, the entire form was hollowed through the petite ¾-inch opening at the top, highlighting the precision and skill behind its creation. Despite its substantial appearance, it weighs just 9 ounces, giving the piece an unexpectedly delicate quality.
